“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
We believe that we were born to serve God and others! There are many different ways and areas in which you can serve in the life of our Church. We would love to help you find your passion, build community, and be a part of a church on mission! Contact us to get involved.
First Impressions
To embody the spirit of hospitality, joy and adventure in being part of a church community. As potentially the first person a guest may meet or interact with, it is important that members of this team be well informed and knowledgeable about services, church activities, and location of 415 rooms.
Media and Worship experience
To create a visually and sonically engaging atmosphere that supports the live worship, preaching and online experience. Participation on this team requires attentiveness to elements on the platform and in the congregation in order to properly make adjustments in the atmosphere to make for the best worship experience.
Ushers
To provide a welcoming, hospitable environment for all who attend worship services. Ushers have a heart to come alongside to serve the church body, help welcome guests to their seat, open sections, keep an eye on doors, security, and help serve in offering.
Tutoring
The South Hill Campus was first birthed in the cafeteria of the Gerald R. Ford Academic Center, which is immediately south of 415 MLK. The Ford school needs Reading and Math tutors for kids who are performing under-grade level and are at risk of not being able to move up a grade. This is an opportunity to fill an important need of our community, while building relationships together. Creatives
Is there a gift that you’d love to share--whether it’s spoken word to dance to painting to music?! Help us dream and create and plan for upcoming opportunities, events and worship experiences.
Hospitality
Help us show some love! The Scriptures call us to live out hospitality. Help us see our church come alive by being a warm and welcoming place week in week out. This team will help with coffee, refreshments, and greeting.
